Hanmi Financial Corporation completed the merger on March 14, 2000, was incorporated in Delaware and became the holding company of Hanmi Bank under the Bank Holding Company Amendment Act of 1956. Hanmi Financial was also elected as a model for BHCA Financial Holdings in 2000. Hanmi Bank, its principal subsidiary, was established on August 24, 1981 and is a nationally chartered bank incorporated under the laws of California with a California financial code granted on December 15, 1982. The bank's deposit accounts are guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, and the bank is a member of the Federal Reserve System. The Bank is a community bank that conducts general commercial banking business with other community banks in its key markets including the Korean-American community and the multi-ethnic population of Orange County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Santa Clara County in Silicon Valley. Its offices are located in a business district where many businesses are run by immigrants and other minorities. The bank's clientele reflects the multi-ethnic structure of these communities. As of December 31, 2016, the bank had 41 full-service branches in California and a loan production office in Washington. The Company's other subsidiaries, Chun-Ha Insurance Services, Inc., All World Insurance Services, Inc., were acquired in January 2007. Chun-Ha Insurance Services, Inc., All World Insurance Services, Inc (founded in 1989 and dedicated to providing a complete range of insurance products including life, business, auto, health and property insurance).
