Gaming And Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) is a newly established company in Pennsylvania on February 13, 2013. GLPI will be a publicly traded, self-managed real estate trust company primarily engaged in the real estate business, which includes holding, acquiring, developing, expanding, managing and leasing gaming and related facilities. GLPI will be the first gaming real estate trust and hopes to expand its portfolio by actively pursuing opportunities to acquire excess gaming facilities to lease to gaming operators, which may include the University of Pennsylvania.
