Golden Entertainment, Inc., was founded in 1998 as GCI Lakes, Inc., which was changed to Lakes Gaming, Inc., in August 1998, and to Lakes Entertainment, Inc., a Minnesota company in 2002. The company owns and operates a diversified entertainment platform consisting of a portfolio of gaming assets focused on casino and branded tavern operations. The company's portfolio includes eight casino properties in Nevada, as well as 69 branded taverns aimed at local customers, primarily in the Greater Las Vegas, Nevada metropolitan area.
