Enterprise Bancorp, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation, was established in 1996 and operates as a holding company for corporate banking and trust companies called Corporate Banking. Most of the company's operations are conducted through banks. The bank has five wholly-owned subsidiaries. The bank's subsidiaries include Enterprise Insurance Services, Ltd., which engages in insurance sales activities; and Enterprise Investment Services, Ltd., which provides non-deposit investment products and services, and was established under the name "Enterprise Financial Services. ". In addition, the bank has three affiliated security companies (Enterprise Security Company, Enterprise Security Company II, Enterprise Security Company III) with various types of eligible securities. Security companies are limited to securities investment activities, and banks themselves operate in accordance with applicable laws. Through banks and its affiliates, the company offers a range of commercial and consumer loan products, deposit and cash management products, investment advisory and management, trust and insurance services. Services provided through the World Bank and subsidiaries are considered to be managed as a strategic unit and represent the company's only reportable operating segment.
