Dorman Products, Inc., was founded in Pennsylvania in October 1978. Dorman Products is a supplier of automotive and heavy-duty truck replacement parts and fasteners and service line products primarily for the automotive aftermarket, serving passenger cars, light, medium and heavy trucks and specialty vehicles, including multi-purpose terrain vehicles (UTVs) and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). As of December 31, 2024, the company's market sales were about 138,000 vehicles. This figure excludes private label inventory units and changes in the way the company markets, packs and distributes products, including different parts of the acquired company, and reflects different parts that have been discontinued at the end of their life cycle. The company's products are sold under various brands, customers' own brands or in batches. The company is one of the leading aftermarket suppliers of components traditionally available only from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or salvage yards to professional installers and consumers.
