Freightos Limited was originally established in Hong Kong, China in January 2012 as Tradeos Limited. It adopted the business name of Freightos shortly thereafter and officially changed its company name to Freightos Limited in 2016. The group returns to the Cayman Islands in May 2022. Freightos connects participants in the international freight ecosystem, including hundreds of airlines, ocean liners and trucking companies, as well as thousands of freight forwarders and more than 10,000 importers and exporters, reservation and shipment managers, through a digital platform that allows real-time global freight comparisons. Inspired by the successful digital revolution in passenger transport, retail, accommodation and other industries, Freightos aims to bring similar efficiency and transparency to the large but largely undigitized international freight industry.
