Cresud Inc., incorporated under the laws of Argentina on December 31, 1936, is a leading agricultural company in Latin America engaged in the production of basic agricultural commodities and the management of farmland assets. The company operates mainly in Argentina and Brazil, and has increased its presence in other Latin American countries through its investment in Brasilagro. Its core businesses include grain and sugar cane production, cattle breeding, and the acquisition, development and management of agricultural assets with potential for yield growth and value appreciation. Cresud also leases land to third parties and provides agency and agro-industrial services. In addition to agricultural activities, Cresud is also involved in the real estate business through its majority stake in IRSA, one of Argentina's leading real estate companies, engaged in the development and management of shopping centers, offices and hotels.
