Cohu, Inc. Founded in 1947 under the laws of California, began active operations as a Kalbfell Lab company in the same year.
The company is a leading supplier of semiconductor test and inspection processors, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) test modules, test contactors and cooling subsystems used by semiconductor manufacturers and test subcontractors worldwide. They develop, manufacture, sell and repair a range of devices capable of handling various integrated circuits and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Processors are electromechanical systems that automatically test and inspect integrated circuits and LEDs at the back end of the semiconductor manufacturing process to determine the quality and performance of semiconductor devices such as microprocessors, logic, analog, memory or mixed-signal devices. Most handlers use pick-up, gravity feed, turret or in-band test techniques. Device type, test parallelism, cooling requirements and signal interface requirements usually determine the appropriate processing method.
