Bank Of Marin Bancorp was registered in August 1989, obtained a banking license from the Bank of California Regulatory Office, and began operations in January 1990. Marin Bank is an insured bank under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. On July 1, 2007, the reorganization of the bank holding company was completed, and Marin Bank Holdings became the parent holding company of the bank (the only wholly-owned subsidiary of Bancorp).
