On July 9, 2008, the Company, its wholly-owned subsidiary Sego Merger Corporation, Vivendi and Vivendi S.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vivendi Games, Inc., VGAC LLC merged into one company and changed its name to Activision Blizzard Corporation. The company is a worldwide publisher of web, PC, console, handheld and mobile interactive entertainment products. Through its publishing company (Activision Publishing, Inc.), the company has become a leading international publisher of interactive software products and content, focusing on the development and distribution of video games on a variety of game consoles, handheld platforms and PC platforms under in-house franchise and licensing agreements. The company is currently in Sony Computer Entertainment Inc .'s PlayStation 3, Nintendo Co. Ltd .'s Wii, Microsoft Corporation's Xbox 360 console system, Nintendo's dual-screen handheld game console system, Games are available on PCs, Apple iOS devices and other handheld mobile devices. Through Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., the company has become the leading publisher of online subscription massively multiplayer online role-playing games. The company also develops and publishes games on PCs internally and maintains its proprietary online gaming-related services on the Battle.net website.
