Ames National Corporation is an Iowa bank holding company. The company was organized in Iowa on January 21, 1975, and its main subsidiary bank is First National Bank, Ames, Iowa, located in Ames, Iowa. The company wholly owns five bank subsidiaries, including two national banks and three state-chartered banks. All of the company's operations are in Iowa, mainly in central Iowa where the bank's subsidiaries are located, including Boone, Marshall, Polk, Story and other counties. Apart from its ownership of its subsidiaries, the company does not have any significant business activities.
