Algoma Steel Group Inc., a company established on June 26, 2020, is a fully integrated producer of hot rolled and cold rolled steel products, including thin and medium plates. Algoma's current crude steel production capacity is estimated at 2.8 million tons per year, and its scale and diversified capabilities enable it to provide responsive, customer-oriented product solutions for direct applications in fields ranging from ladle to automotive, construction, energy, defense and defense. Algoma is a major supplier of steel products to customers in Canada and the Midwest of the United States, and the only producer of steel products in Canada. The company's rolling mills are among the lowest-cost producers of hot-rolled sheet steel (HRC) in North America.
