ABVC BioPharma, Inc., was incorporated under the laws of the State of Nevada on February 6, 2002. The Company is engaged in the biotechnology business through its operating entity, American BriVision Corporation (incorporated in Delaware in July 2015), focusing on unmet medical needs, with a focus on the development of new drugs and medical devices derived from plants. BriVision expands its product line by closely tracking new medical discoveries or medical device technologies from research institutions in the Asia Pacific region. The company carefully reviews preclinical studies, disease animal model studies, and phase I safety studies to screen out drugs that BriVision believes have efficacy and safety. Once a drug is deemed a suitable candidate for development and final commercialization, BriVision obtains a license for the drug or medical device from the original investigator and begins presenting the clinical protocol of the drug to respected principal investigators in the United States, Australia and Taiwan for Phase II clinical trials.
