Reaves Utility Income Fund is a closed-end management investment company registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the "1940 Act "). The Fund was established under the laws of the State of Delaware by a trust agreement and declaration dated September 15, 2003. The fund's investment objective is to provide a high level of after-tax income and total return, consisting primarily of tax-advantaged dividend income and capital appreciation. For the purposes of the 1940 Act, the Fund is a diversified investment company.
