International Tower Hill Mines Ltd., incorporated in Canada on May 26, 1978 as "Ashnola Mining Company Ltd.", was subsequently changed to "International Tower Hill Mines Ltd." on March 15, 1991. The company currently holds or has the right to acquire an interest in a development-stage project in Alaska known as the "Livengood Gold Project" or "Project. ". The company has not yet started mining the mineralization of the deposit and has not reached commercial production. Since the beginning of 2008, the company's main focus has been the exploration and advancement of the Livengood gold project, and most of its resources are used for this purpose. In August 2010, the company entered into a corporate spin-off arrangement transaction, under which all its mineral interests except for the project were spun off into a separate company. Since the completion of the transaction, the only mineral held by the Company is the Livengood Gold Project, where the Company is focused on the ongoing exploration and potential development of the Livengood Gold Project.
