Polymet Mining Corp. was incorporated in British Columbia, Canada on March 4, 1981 under the name of Flack Resources Ltd. On June 10, 1998, the company changed its name from Fleck Resources to PolyMet Mining Company.
PolyMet Mining Company is a company engaged in the development stage of exploration and development of natural resource attributes. Currently the company's only mineral is the NorthMet project. The project includes the NorthMet copper-nickel-precious metal ore body and the Yili plant, and the large processing facility is located in the established mining area of the Mesabi iron range in northeastern Minnesota, USA, approximately six miles from the ore body.
