Houston American Energy Corp. is an independent oil and natural gas company focused on developing, exploring, extracting, acquiring and producing natural gas and crude oil assets in the Gulf Coast region of the United States and South America. The company's oil and gas reserves and operations are concentrated in Colombia and the Gulf Coast of South America, especially Texas and Louisiana. The company's mission is to deliver net asset value per share growth to investors through attractive oil and gas investments. The company's strategy is to focus on early identification and enter existing and emerging resource markets, particularly in South America and the U.S. Gulf Coast. Regardless of whether it has contributed or not, in the process of developing resources or retaining interests, the company generally seeks to cooperate with larger operators and identify prospects to promote them to larger operators. After entering these markets earlier and partnering with, or enabling a larger operator, the company believes that it can acquire a larger resource potential at a lower cost, minimizing its exposure to drilling risks and costs, as well as constant operating costs. The company was established on April 2, 2001.
