Golden Minerals Company was incorporated in the state in March 2009 under the Delaware Corporate Corporation Act. The Company is a mining company that holds 100% interests in Velardea and Chicago Precious Metals Mines in Durango, Mexico and related oxide and sulfide processing plants (" Velardena Properties "), El Quevar Advanced Exploration Silver Property in Salta Province, Argentina, and a diversified portfolio of precious metal and other mineral exploration properties located primarily in or near historical precious metal producing areas in Mexico. They remain focused on evaluating and looking for mining opportunities in North America (including Mexico), as well as near-term mining prospects, particularly properties within a reasonable shipping distance of the Velardena processing plant. They are also reviewing strategic opportunities, with a major focus on developing or operating properties in North America, including Mexico. They will also focus on appraisal activities at the El Quevar exploration property in Argentina and continue to explore at selected properties in their portfolio of approximately 10 exploration properties primarily located in Mexico.
