WalletConnect Certified Expands with Nine New Wallets in Second Round

WalletConnect Certified, a program aimed at enhancing the user experience (UX) for onchain applications and wallets, has introduced its second round, further solidifying its role as a benchmark for wallet quality. The initiative, launched to address the lack of alignment in the crypto industry, provides a community-driven standard for user experience, integration, and security.

Since its debut at DevCon 2024, WalletConnect Certified has evolved into a trusted signal for users and a framework for developers. The program's second round has welcomed nine new certified wallets, including Fireblocks, CTRL, Blockchain.com, Rakuten, BitPay, xPortal, Bitcoin.com, Bifrost, and Best. These join returning leaders such as Safe, Trust Wallet, Zerion, Ledger, and Binance Web3 Wallet, among others.

Each certified wallet has met stringent criteria, including a top 50 ranking by users and activity on the WalletConnect Network, support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana (where applicable), link-mode integration for instant mobile connections without QR codes, and one-click wallet authentication for secure, passwordless logins. These features are not just enhancements but the foundation of a better user experience, essential for the next wave of onchain adoption.
