Embrace nuclear power actively! The U.S. awards Centrus Energy (LEU.US) and Orano uranium enrichment contracts

The Biden administration has awarded contracts to Centrus Energy (LEU.US) and Orano SA and others to develop the highly enriched uranium needed for new advanced nuclear reactors. The contracts will draw on up to $2.7 billion in government funds, depending on future orders from the US Energy Department. Louisiana Energy Services, which operates the Urenco uranium enrichment plant in New Mexico, and General Matter are two other companies that have received funding.
