CPCA: AI server shipments are expected to grow nearly 20% QoQ in Q2.
According to the latest report "AI Server Industry Analysis" released by TrendForce Consulting, the high demand for high-end AI servers from large CSPs (cloud service providers) and brand customers has not subsided in 2024, and with the gradual expansion of CoWoS (chip-on-wafer) original factories and HBM (high bandwidth memory) original factories such as SK hynix, Samsung and Micron, the shortage situation has greatly eased since the second half of this year, which has led to a decrease in the delivery lead time (Lead Time) of Nvidia's main solution H100 from 40-50 weeks to less than 16 weeks. Therefore, TrendForce Consulting expects the shipment volume of AI servers in the second quarter to increase by nearly 20% quarter-on-quarter, and the full-year shipment volume to be revised to 1.67 million units, with a year-on-year growth rate of 41.5%.
