Aime RobotAime Summary

- Benz's Icon gold project expands to 63-69Mt at 1.40-1.47g/t, with 200m+ broad mineralisation confirming bulk-tonnage potential.

- Hinge-zone model at Icon-Tuxedo extends mineralisation downward, with 200m+ down-dip extensions and 3km+ strike length untested.

- Hurricane zone shows high-grade potential (5.1g/t, 44.2g/t) as possible second system, linking to Zone 126 for first time.

- Next drilling will test continuity across Icon's 4-rig program and Hurricane's connectivity to validate Glenburgh's 110-125Mt total target.

Icon is becoming a volume story, not just a discovery story

Benz is starting to look less like a one-hole wonder and more like a growing bulk-tonnage system. The Icon camp now carries an exploration target of 63 million tonnes to 69Mt at 1.40g/t to 1.47g/t, equivalent to 2.8 million ounces to 3.3 million ounces of gold.

Recent drilling supports that scale. Benz reported 27 m at 15.33 g/t gold from 229 m across the Icon-Apollo area, while other results at Icon include broad intervals such as 200m at 1.0 g/t gold. Benz has identified more than 3 km of strike at Icon, with only about 30% tested to date, and it now says the camp is moving toward maiden mineral resource definition. That is why the story matters now: the focus is shifting from flashy intercepts to a system large enough to support a real resource.

Why hinge zones matter at Icon-Tuxedo

What the hinge-zone model means here

What matters now is not one headline intercept, but whether Benz can keep finding similar mineralisation within the same structure, hole after hole.

Benz describes a folded and plunging geometry across Icon-Tuxedo. In simple terms, that means the mineralised layers bend downward, allowing mineralisation to persist below where earlier drilling stopped. Tuxedo already has more than 200 m of down-dip extension beneath historical shallow work. That is the practical value of a hinge zone: it extends the system deeper and increases the chance of repeatable ounces.

Repeatability matters more than single-hole grade

The broader intercepts are at least as important as the high-grade headlines. At Icon, Benz has confirmed not only 200 m at 1.0 g/t gold, but also 71 m at 0.8 g/t gold and 60 m at 1.0 g/t gold. Those results are the kind of broad mineralisation investors look for when judging whether a system has mineable volume.

Continuity is the better tell. Step-out drilling returned 142m at 0.95g/t gold within a broader 229m at 0.7g/t gold, while the Central Lens returned 55m at 1.1g/t gold from 447m within 275m at 0.6g/t gold, with holes still ending in mineralisation. Benz says four RC rigs are fully funded, with two dedicated to Icon, so the next updates should clarify whether this is one large system or several smaller pods.

Hurricane could add a high-grade second front

If Icon is the volume story, Hurricane looks more like the grade accelerator. Benz now says the Hurricane trend is emerging as a Zone126-style high-grade system along a 1,000 m NE-plunging fold corridor, with two rigs dedicated to drilling it out faster.

The linkage is promising, but still unproven

This is promising, not proven. The latest support is New high grade "Lens 0" discovered at Zone 126, interpreted to link Zone 126 and Zone 102 for the first time, along with intercepts such as 19 m at 5.1 g/t gold within 61 m at 1.9 g/t gold and 4 m at 44.2 g/t gold. Other recent Hurricane results include broader mineralised envelopes as well as higher-grade cores, which makes the trend look more like a developing high-grade system than a single lucky hit.

The key test is continuity. If nearby lenses and zones start stitching together, Hurricane becomes more than an add-on target. If they remain separate, the upside is still there, but it stays more incremental.

What Benz still has to prove at Glenburgh

For BNZ to work from here, Benz still needs to turn the Glenburgh geology into hard ounces. The broader project target remains 110Mt to 125Mt at 1.7g/t to 1.8g/t gold, or 6.1 million ounces to 7.3 million ounces. Icon is expected to play the central role as the bulk-tonnage core, with its own target of 63 million tonnes to 69Mt at 1.40g/t to 1.47g/t.

What to watch next

  • Do the next releases add mineralised volume through systematic drilling, rather than relying on isolated high-grade headlines?
  • Do Icon step-outs keep delivering broad zones of gold mineralisation and confirm continuity across gaps?
  • Does Icon continue to look like a single, large-scale open-pit system, with broad envelopes and deeper extension?
  • Does Hurricane keep building toward a connected high-grade network instead of staying a set of separate lenses?

That is the setup in plain terms: Icon is providing the scale, Hurricane may be amplifying the grade, and the next few drill programs need to show that both parts belong to one workable Glenburgh system.
