DCP Midstream, LP is a Delaware limited liability partnership formed in August 2005 by DCP Midstream, LLC, which owns, operates, acquires and develops a diversified portfolio of midstream energy assets. The Company is currently engaged in the business of collecting, compressing, treating, processing, transporting, storing and selling natural gas, producing, fractionating, transporting, storing and selling liaison offices and condensate, and transporting, storing and selling propane in the wholesale market. Backed by DCP Midstream LLC and its owner, natural gas energy storage company Phillips 66, the Company has a management team dedicated to the execution of the Company's growth strategy through the acquisition and construction of additional assets. Before May 2012, DCP Midstream LLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates, collectively referred to as DCP Midstream LLC, were 50% owned by Conocophillips and 50% owned by Spectrum Energy. In May 2012, Conocophillips was separated into two independent publicly traded companies. After this transaction, Conocophillips no longer has a 50% ownership interest in DCP Midstream, LLC. 50% ownership of DCP Midstream LLC has been transferred from Conocophillips to a new downstream company, Phillips 66. The company's business is organized into three business areas: natural gas, light hydrocarbon logistics, and wholesale propane logistics.
