Embraer, a global leader in the aerospace industry, has announced plans to invest approximately US$ 3.5 billion in Brazil by 2030. This significant investment aligns with the company's recent practices and growth plan for the next five years, focusing on increased aircraft production, business expansion in international markets, and the development of sustainable technologies. The announcement was made during the ceremony for "Mission 6 of the New Industry Brazil (Nova Indústria Brasil/NIB) – Technologies of interest for national sovereignty and defense," held in Brasília, with the attendance of Brazil's President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, and other authorities.

Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer, emphasized the importance of the New Industry Brazil program in resuming the country's competitiveness. He stated that the partnership with Embraer and the entire Defense Industrial Base will continue to be fundamental in encouraging exports of Brazilian products, generating qualified jobs and income, and ensuring the mastery of critical technologies aimed at national sovereignty.

The successful history of cooperation between government, universities, and industry in Brazil has significantly contributed to the country remaining at the forefront of innovation, particularly in the highly technological and competitive aerospace and defense sector. This partnership has been instrumental in talent retention and development, with Embraer's current workforce already exceeding pre-pandemic levels. The company has generated more than 2,500 jobs in the last two years and maintains continuous investment in training and professional qualification programs.

Embraer's investment forecast of approximately US$ 3.5 billion by 2030 is expected to have a significant impact on the company's growth and the Brazilian aerospace industry as a whole. The investment plan includes increased aircraft production, business expansion in international markets, and the development of sustainable technologies, with the goal of a low-carbon economy in the aerospace industry. One highlight of this plan is the eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle) manufactured by EVE, backed by Embraer S.A.
