Virtus Investment Partners, Inc., commenced operations on November 1, 1995 through a reverse merger of Duff & Phelps. The company is a provider of investment management products and services for individuals and institutions. The company operates a multi-manager investment management business, consisting of subordinate managers and non-party sub-advisors, each with its own unique investment style, independent investment process and brand. The company believes that its clients value this approach and appreciate that individual managers have a distinct culture and style. Virtus Investment Partners, LLC is a Delaware corporation that operates in the investment management industry through its wholly-owned subsidiaries. The company provides investment management and related services to individual and institutional clients in the United States of America. Retail investment management services (including management services) are provided to individuals through products including open-end funds, closed-end funds, variable insurance funds and separately managed accounts. Separately managed accounts provide personal high net worth and include an intermediary distribution program sponsored and distributed by unaffiliated broker-dealers, and investment services for personal directly managed accounts managed by the company are sold by the company. Institutional investment management services are mainly provided to multi-employer retirement funds, civil service retirement systems, foundations and endowments, and special-purpose fund institutional investment management services.
