Tortoise Energy Infrastructure Corporation was incorporated on October 30, 2003 under bylaws governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. The company is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company. Their investment objective is to seek a high level of total return, with an emphasis on current distributions paid to shareholders. The Company seeks to provide its shareholders with effective tools to invest in publicly traded master limited partnerships (" MLPs ") in the energy infrastructure sector. Under normal circumstances, they invest at least 90% of their total assets (including assets acquired through leverage) in securities of energy infrastructure companies and at least 70% of their total assets in equity securities of MLPs and midstream entities.
