Packaging Corporation Of America was established on January 25, 1999 as a Delaware corporation. The company is the third largest producer of containerboard products and the leading producer of uncoated Freesheet paper in North America. The company operates eight mills and 86 corrugated products manufacturing plants. The Company's corrugated product manufacturing plants produce a wide variety of corrugated packaging products, including conventional shipping containers for protecting and transporting finished products, multi-color boxes and displays with strong visual appeal that facilitate the sale of packaged products at retail locations, and honeycomb protective packaging. In addition, the company is a large producer of meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods, beverages, and industrial and consumer product packaging. The company also manufactures and sells UFS paper, including commodity paper and specialty paper, which may have custom or specialized features such as color, coating, high brightness and recycled content.
