Matador Resources Company was founded in July 2003 in Texas. The Company is an independent energy company engaged in the exploration, development, production and acquisition of oil and natural gas resources in the United States, with a focus on oil and gas shale and other unconventional fields. The company's current operations are concentrated in the oil and liquids-rich parts of Wolfcamp and Bone Spring in southeastern New Mexico and the Delaware Basin in West Texas. The Company also operates in the Eagle Ford Shale Mine in southern Texas and the Haynesville Shale and Cotton Valley Mine in northwestern Louisiana. In addition, they conduct midstream operations to support exploration, development and production operations, and provide natural gas processing, oil transportation services, oil, natural gas and produced water collection services, and produced water disposal services to third parties.
