The company operates a diversified portfolio of regulated and unregulated power generation, distribution and transmission utilities that provide predictable earnings and cash flow. The company hopes to increase shareholder value through dividend growth per share, and share price appreciation through dividend growth supported by increased cash flow and earnings per share. The company's business mainly consists of three parts: power generation, transmission and distribution groups. The Power Generation Group operates a diversified portfolio of non-regulated renewable and thermal power utilities, the Transmission Group is responsible for evaluating and capitalizing North American natural gas pipeline and power transmission asset opportunities, and the Distribution Group operates a portfolio of North American power, natural gas and water distribution and wastewater collection utility systems.
