Tucows Inc., was established in November 1992 as Infonautics Inc. In August 2001, the company completed the acquisition of Tucowsnenenebc, Delaware, changing its name from Infonauticsnenenebd to Tucowsnenenebe. The company's mission is to provide simple and practical services to help people unlock the power of the Internet. This is achieved by reducing the complexity of customers accessing the internet (at home or on the go) and using internet services such as domain name registration, email and other internet related services. The company is also divided into three operating and reporting divisions — Ting, Wavo and Tucows Domains. The main differences in each sector are services, market services, and the regulatory environment in which they operate. The Ting segment includes the operating results of its retail high-speed Internet access business, including its wholly-owned subsidiaries - Cedar and Simply Bits. The Wavo segment includes platform and professional services offerings, as well as billing solutions for Internet Service Providers (" ISPs "). Tucows domain names include wholesale and retail domain name registration services, as well as value-added services derived through its OpenSRS, eNom, Ascio, EPAG and Hover brands.
