The company opened its first Red Robin restaurant in Seattle, Washington, in September 1969. In 1979, the company opened its first licensed Red Robin restaurant in Yagiwa, Washington. In 2001, the company established Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, incorporated in Delaware, and completed the company's reorganization. Since then, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has directly or indirectly owned all outstanding shares or membership interests in Red Robin International and other subsidiaries, and the Company operates through these subsidiaries.
