United States Antimony Corporation, or USAC, was established in Montana in January 1970 to mine and produce antimony products. In 1983, it ceased antimony mining operations but continued to produce antimony products from domestic and foreign raw material bases. In March 1998, the company established United States Antimony SA de CV, or USAMSA, to mine and smelt antimony in Mexico. Founded in 2000, Bear River Zeolite mines and produces zeolite in southeastern Idaho. On August 19, 2005, United States Antimony established Antimonio de Mexico, S. A. de C. V., to explore and develop antimony and silver mines in Mexico, and Antimonio de Mexico, S. A. de C. V. is now incorporated into USAMSA. The company's main business is the production and sale of antimony, silver, gold and zeolite products.
