The company originates, sells and services a range of multi-family and other commercial real estate financial products. The company's clients are owners and developers of commercial real estate across the country. The Company originates and sells loans through programs such as the Federal National Mortgage Association (" Fannie Mae Mae "), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (" Freddie Mac "), as well as with Fannie Mae Mae, the Government-Sponsored Enterprise or "GSE", the Government National Mortgage Council (" Ginnie Mae ") and the Federal Housing Administration (a division of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, known as "HUD" along with Ginnie Mei), The company has long-standing relationships with these institutions. The company retains servicing rights and asset management responsibilities for nearly all loans it makes for GSE and HUD programs. The Company is approved as a Fannie Mae Mae Entrusted Underwriting and Servicing (" DUS ") lender nationwide, as a Freddie Mac Plan + lender in 23 states and the District of Columbia, as a seller/servicer of affordable housing targeting Freddie Mac, a national HUD Multifamily Accelerated Processing (" MAP ") lender, a national HUD 232 LEAN lender, and a Ginnie Mae issuer. The Company brokers and services loans to a number of life insurance companies, commercial banks, commercial mortgage-backed securities (" CMBS ") and other institutional investors, in which case the Company does not finance the loans but acts as a loan broker. The company also originates and holds medium-term loans on the company's balance sheet, and offers proprietary CMBS and large medium-term loan programs through partnerships with large institutional investors. In addition, through the company's subsidiaries, the company provides institutional advisory, asset management and investment management services specializing in debt, structured debt and equity.
