Blue Owl Technology Finance Corp., a Maryland corporation, was founded on July 12, 2018. They were established primarily to initiate and make debt and equity investments in technology-related companies, especially software companies, primarily located in the United States. They originate and invest in senior secured or unsecured loans, subordinated loans or mezzanine loans, and equity-related securities, including common stock, warrants, preferred stock and similar forms of senior equity, which may or may not be converted into common stock of portfolio companies. Their investment objective is to maximize total return by generating current income from their debt investments and other income-generating securities, as well as capital appreciation from their equity and equity-linked investments.
