Vail Resorts, Inc., a Delaware corporation, was organized as a holding company in 1997 and operates through several subsidiaries. The company's business is divided into three business segments: Mountains, Accommodation and Real Estate. As of July 31, 2020, the Company's mountain operations operated 37 world-class destination mountain resorts and regional ski resorts. In addition, the mountain business also includes ancillary services, mainly including ski school, catering and retail/rental business. In the lodging sector, the Company owns and manages a portfolio of luxury hotels and condominiums under its RockResorts brand; other strategic lodging properties and a large number of condominiums located near its North American mountain resorts; National Park Service (" NPS ") franchise properties, Includes Grand Teton Lodge Company (" GTLC "), which operates destination resorts in Grand Teton National Park; Colorado Resort Ground Transportation Company and Mountain Resort Golf Course. The company's real estate division owns, develops and sells real estate in and around resort communities.
