Extra Space Storage Inc., was incorporated as a Maryland corporation on April 30, 2004. The Company is a fully integrated, self-managed and self-managed Caretrust Reit formed to own, operate, manage, acquire, develop and redevelop self-storage properties. Almost all of the company's revenue comes from two divisions: warehousing and tenant reinsurance. The main source of income for the warehousing business segment consists of rent collected from tenants under the lease of each wholly-owned store.
