OAK Valley Bancorp was established in California on April 1, 2008 as Oak Valley Community Bank. Since July 3, 2008, Oak Valley Bancorp has acquired all the issued shares of Oak Valley Community Bank.e, becoming its holding company and its sole asset issuer. The bank has been in operation since May 1991. The bank is a bank protected under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and is a member of the Federal Reserve. The bank offers business checking and savings accounts as a complement to its business customers. The bank also offers commercial and real estate loans, as well as lines of credit. Real estate loans are generally for residential or commercial purposes of a short-term nature. Long-term real estate loans generally have adjustable interest rates and are subject to normal acceleration. Traditional residential mortgage loans are provided to the bank's customers through third parties.
