As of December 31, 2011, the Company is a diversified holding company with subsidiaries involved in the following continuous operations: investment, automotive, gaming, rail cars, food packaging, hardware, real estate and home fashion products. Icahn Enterprises owns 99% of the limited liability partnership interests in Icahn Enterprises Holdings. Almost all of its assets and liabilities are owned through Icahn Enterprise Holdings, and almost all of its operations are conducted through Icahn Enterprise Holdings and its subsidiaries.
