Glen Burnie Bancorp was established in 1990 in compliance with the relevant provisions of Maryland law. The Company owns all outstanding shares of the share capital of Glen Burnie Bank. Glen Burnie Bank is a commercial bank established in 1949 under the laws of the State of Maryland. The bank mainly serves the northern Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas. Its main offices and branches are in Glen Burnie, Maryland, as well as branch offices in Odenton, Riviera Beach, Crownsville, Severn (two branch locations), Linthicum and Severna Park. The bank also maintains a remote ATM location in Pasadena, Maryland. The bank has a website www.thebankofglenburnie.com. The bank is the oldest independent commercial bank in Anne Arundel County. Authorized by the Maryland Banking Regulations, the Bank engages in commercial and retail banking, including current and time deposit business, personal, organizational, partner and corporate lending business. The bank's real estate financing includes residential primary and secondary mortgages, home equity lines of credit and commercial mortgages. Commercial loans include secured and unsecured loans. Banks also issue car loans through agreements with local car dealers. Bank deposits are guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
