YALA.US Q4 Revenue Surpasses Expectations, Net Profit Grows 10% YoY
YALA, Inc., the largest online social networking and gaming company in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), released its fourth-quarter earnings after the market closed on March 10, 2023. The data showed that Q4 revenue was US$90.8 million, up 12.2% YoY, topping the consensus estimate of US$86.6 million; and the diluted EPS was US$0.20, up from US$0.19 in the same period last year. By business, revenue from chat services was US$59.8 million, and revenue from gaming services was US$30.8 million. The net profit in Q4 2024 was US$32.53 million, up 9.7% YoY, with a net profit margin of 35.8%. The non-GAAP net profit was US$35.70 million, up 6.8% YoY, with a non-GAAP net profit margin of 39.3%. The average monthly active users (MAU) were 41.4 million, up 14.4% YoY. The number of paying users was 12.3 million, up 3.2% YoY. Looking ahead, the Company expects its revenue in the first quarter of 2025 to be between US$75 million and US$82 million, lower than the consensus estimate of US$83.3 million. As of the time of writing, YALA's after-hours trading was up 0.25%.
