XRP Price Surges 200% as Experts Predict $280 Target by 2027

Crypto expert Dark Defender has predicted that the price of XRP could surge to $280, offering a bullish outlook for the cryptocurrency. The expert cited XRP’s historical performance, particularly its 2017 bull run, as a basis for this ambitious price target. During the 2017 rally, XRP experienced a price increase of over 60,000%, reaching its all-time high of around $3.30.

Dark Defender’s accompanying chart suggests that XRP could reach the $280 target between 2026 and 2027. However, the expert also noted that a parabolic rally could begin as early as this year, mirroring the performance seen in 2017. This prediction aligns with the views of another crypto analyst, Egrag Crypto, who also forecasted that XRP could rally to $222 if historical patterns repeat themselves.

In addition to the long-term prediction, Dark Defender made a more conservative estimate of an XRP price rally to $44 based on a ‘Coffee Cup’ pattern. This pattern, which is a U-shaped formation on a price chart, indicates a potential bullish trend reversal after a downtrend. The expert combined this pattern with the Elliot Waves to provide a clearer picture of XRP’s future trajectory. According to this analysis, wave 3 is expected to reach $5.85 and $18.22, while wave 5 is targeting $36. The depth of the cup and the Coffee level suggest a rally to as high as $44.22.

Crypto analyst CasiTrades also provided insights into XRP’s current market position. She noted that the XRP price is testing critical resistance at around $2.54 and is currently just below the trendline of a consolidation pattern. If XRP breaks and holds above this level, the next targets are $2.70 and $3.05. CasiTrades previously warned that if XRP fails to hold above $2.42, it could drop to as low as $1.5. However, she remains optimistic that XRP is in the early stages of Wave 3 and could rally to $9.50 for the official Wave 3 extension, aligning with the macro price target of $8 to $13.
