However, the report also cautions that this transformation faces considerable hurdles, including regulatory fragmentation, technological infrastructure limitations, and slow institutional adoption.

The $10,000 price target for XRP by 2029, while provocative, raises significant questions from a financial perspective. XRP’s current circulating supply is approximately 59.48 billion tokens, and at $10,000 per token, this would result in a market capitalization of about $594.8 trillion. When factoring in the maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, the valuation jumps to nearly $1 quadrillion. By comparison, the International Monetary Fund estimates the global nominal GDP at around $113.8 trillion. This suggests that achieving such a valuation would require extraordinary conditions, including massive institutional inflows, widespread adoption, and a near-total shift to blockchain-based financial systems.

For XRP to reach this valuation, the XRP Ledger would need to dominate the tokenized asset settlement space globally. This would require not only technological dominance but also regulatory alignment across jurisdictions and the cooperation of major financial institutions. Additionally, large portions of the XRP supply would need to be locked or removed from circulation, a move that faces legal and economic challenges. Given these prerequisites, analysts have treated the $10,000 forecast as a speculative scenario rather than a realistic projection.

Despite the ambitious nature of the $10,000 target, Ripple’s broader tokenization narrative is gaining traction. The XRP Ledger has already seen a record $131.6 million in real-world asset market capitalization in Q2 2025, driven by institutional adoption of products like Ondo’s OUSG tokenized treasury fund and Guggenheim’s digital commercial paper. These developments underscore the ledger’s growing role as a bridge between traditional finance and blockchain technology. If tokenization continues to expand at its current pace, XRP may benefit from increased demand, though translating that into five-figure valuations remains a significant challenge.

The XRP price has also shown signs of technical strength in recent weeks, with analysts noting a bull flag pattern on the daily chart that could signal a potential breakout toward $5. With the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission expected to make decisions on spot XRP ETF applications between October and November 2025, market participants are closely watching for regulatory clarity.
