XRP News Today: Ripple's Secure Custody Move Unlocks Institutional Crypto Adoption

Ripple, the financial technology company known for its blockchain-based solutions, has acquired Palisade, a digital asset wallet and custody firm, to enhance its institutional-grade digital asset offerings. The acquisition, announced on November 3, 2025, positions Ripple to better serve fintechs, crypto-native firms, and corporates by integrating Palisade's secure, scalable "wallet-as-a-service" (WaaS) technology into its existing Ripple Custody and Ripple Payments platforms, according to a Yahoo Finance report.
Palisade's technology, featuring Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and zero-trust architecture, allows for fast wallet provisioning, multi-chain support, and DeFi integration, according to a Morningstar report. This complements Ripple's bank-grade vault solutions, creating an end-to-end custody system for institutional needs ranging from long-term storage to real-time global payments, as noted in a Yahoo Finance article. Monica Long, President of Ripple, emphasized the strategic move, stating that "secure digital asset custody unlocks the crypto economy and is central to Ripple's product strategy," in a BusinessWire release.

The acquisition follows a series of strategic purchases this year, including prime broker Hidden Road (now Ripple Prime), stablecoin platform Rail, and treasury management firm GTreasury. These moves, totaling approximately $4 billion in investments, underscore Ripple's aggressive expansion in the digital asset ecosystem, according to a CoinDesk article. The company now holds over 75 regulatory licenses globally and serves institutions like Absa Bank, BBVA, and DBS.
Ripple's XRPXRP-- cryptocurrency, which reached an all-time high earlier this year, remains the fourth-largest crypto asset by market capitalization at $140.5 billion. The firm's broader strategy aims to bridge traditional finance and decentralized systems, leveraging its stablecoin (RLUSD) and XRP to streamline cross-border payments and treasury management.
Palisade's integration into Ripple's infrastructure is expected to accelerate adoption of real-time custody solutions, particularly for high-frequency transactions and subscription-based payment models. With Palisade's multi-chain capabilities and compliance tools, Ripple strengthens its position as a trusted partner for institutions navigating the evolving crypto landscape.
