XRP News Today: Ripple Fortifies Crypto Economy's Foundation with Palisade Acquisition

Ripple, a leading financial technology company specializing in blockchain-based solutions, has acquired Palisade, a digital asset wallet and custody firm, to strengthen its institutional custody and payments offerings. The acquisition, announced on November 3, 2025, expands Ripple's ability to serve fintechs, crypto-native firms, and corporates with secure, scalable custody solutions tailored for high-speed transactions and compliance needs, according to a Morningstar report.
The integration of Palisade's wallet-as-a-service technology into Ripple Custody—already trusted by institutions like BBVA, DBS, and Societe Generale—enables the firm to offer a comprehensive end-to-end custody solution. Palisade's platform combines advanced security features such as Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and zero-trust architecture with fast wallet provisioning, multi-chain support, and decentralized finance (DeFi) integration. These capabilities allow clients to manage digital assets across blockchains like the XRPXRP-- Ledger (XRPL), EthereumETH--, and SolanaSOL-- while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
"Secure digital asset custody is the foundation of the crypto economy," said Monica Long, President of Ripple. "Corporates are now entering the market, and they need trusted, licensed partners with out-of-the-box capabilities. The combination of Ripple's bank-grade vault and Palisade's fast, lightweight wallet makes Ripple Custody the end-to-end provider for every institutional need," Long emphasized in the press release.
This acquisition marks Ripple's fourth major deal this year, following the acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road (now Ripple Prime), stablecoin infrastructure firm Rail, and corporate treasury management platform GTreasury, according to a CoinDesk article. The company has invested approximately $4 billion in the crypto ecosystem through strategic acquisitions and partnerships since 2023.
The integration of Palisade's technology into Ripple Payments further enhances real-time transaction capabilities, particularly for subscription payments and high-frequency treasury operations. Palisade's wallet provisioning system allows for rapid deployment of secure wallets, enabling clients to scale operations efficiently while maintaining cryptographic control over assets, according to CoinDesk.
Ripple's expanded custody offering also aligns with its broader regulatory focus. With over 75 global licenses and registrations, the firm positions itself as a bridge between traditional finance and decentralized systems. The company's RLUSD stablecoin and XRP cryptocurrency are increasingly leveraged across its solutions to streamline liquidity and settlement for institutional clients.
The acquisition follows Ripple's 2023 purchase of Swiss custody firm Metaco and builds on its recent launch of Ripple Prime, a U.S. institutional prime brokerage that allows cross-margining of spot, swaps, and futures positions. Analysts note that Ripple's aggressive expansion reflects growing demand for institutional-grade crypto infrastructure as corporations and banks accelerate adoption of digital assets.
