Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum in Beijing on May 13, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson announced on Sunday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his readiness to engage in peace talks with Ukraine without preconditions, according to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. This announcement comes as Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. During the visit, Putin praised China's stance on the Ukrainian crisis and expressed his willingness to start peace talks to achieve a fair and lasting peace agreement.

Wang Yi, quoted by the state news agency "Xinhua", reported that Putin's readiness for peace talks was a significant development. Xi Jinping, during his visit, also welcomed all efforts aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine. The Chinese leader's visit to Moscow was described by Wang Yi as a strong message of support for the deepening of strategic cooperation between China and Russia.

The two leaders signed agreements and made a joint statement in support of peace initiatives in Ukraine. Xi Jinping expressed hope for a fair and binding peace agreement, while Putin stated that Russia is "ready for peace talks without preconditions."

However, Ukraine's readiness for peace talks remains uncertain. According to a statement by Putin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, Ukraine is not yet ready for negotiations [1].

The developments in Ukraine have significant implications for global markets, particularly for energy and defense sectors. As the conflict continues, investors will closely monitor the progress of peace talks and their impact on geopolitical stability.
