Xcel Energy has signed dual strategic alliances with GE Vernova and NextEra Energy to support its 6-GW data center outlook and generation expansion. The agreements cover gas turbines, wind equipment, grid technologies, and joint development resources to reserve capacity for data center buildout into the 2030s. Xcel Energy has a contracted and under-construction data center capacity of over 2 GW and a high-probability pipeline of roughly 4 GW.
