Woodside Energy has taken control of the Beaumont New Ammonia facility in Texas, following successful performance testing and handover from OCI Global. The facility has a capacity to produce and export up to 1.1 million tonnes per annum of ammonia, doubling US ammonia exports and contributing to regional economic growth. Woodside aims to support the development of a lower-carbon ammonia sector and has secured offtake agreements from the conventional ammonia market.
