Woodside Energy has proposed changes to its Browse gas development project in Western Australia, aiming to reduce environmental risks. The project, worth $30 billion, is expected to produce 11.4 million tonnes of gas per year. Woodside wants to reduce the project's footprint, move drilling away from green turtle habitats, and use best practice technology to minimize underwater noise and artificial light impacts. The changes are subject to public consultation and assessment by WA's Environmental Protection Agency.
