Wingstop is expanding its support for communities affected by natural disasters in Texas, with a relief effort matched by the company for up to $1 million in contributions. Guests can round up their orders to the nearest dollar at checkout, and 15% of sales from all Texas Wingstop restaurants on July 15 will be donated to the American Red Cross. Wingstop will also match every donation, up to $500,000.

Wingstop Inc. (NASDAQ: WING) has announced a significant expansion of its support for communities in Texas affected by natural disasters. The company has launched two major initiatives to raise funds and provide relief: a Round-Up campaign and Family Flavor Day.

The Round-Up campaign allows customers to round up their orders to the nearest dollar at checkout. All donations from this campaign will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Additionally, on July 15, Wingstop will launch Family Flavor Day, where 15% of sales from all Texas Wingstop restaurants will be donated to the same fund. Wingstop will match every donation, up to $500,000, effectively doubling the impact of these contributions.

The company has set a total contribution goal of up to $1 million, with the Round-Up campaign and Family Flavor Day combined. In addition to these fundraising efforts, Wingstop will continue providing meal deliveries to local organizations involved in relief efforts.

The move comes as Wingstop expresses its gratitude for the heroism of first responders in impacted areas and its commitment to supporting its home state and the communities it serves. The company's President & CEO, Michael Skipworth, stated, "Texas is our home, and supporting our people and the communities we serve is the Wingstop Way."

Wingstop, founded in 1994, operates and franchises over 2,650 locations worldwide. The company has seen consecutive years of same store sales growth, with a 36.8% increase in fiscal year 2024 to approximately $4.8 billion. Wingstop's system-wide sales growth has been driven by its focus on customer experience and innovative technology platforms.
