Westport Fuel Systems' joint venture, Cespira, has partnered with Volvo to test its hydrogen HPDI fuel system in on-road heavy-duty trucks. The technology aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 100% compared to diesel-powered trucks while preserving existing engine architecture. Volvo plans to launch the commercial version before 2030.
